1) How do i store wines that I do not plan on opening anytime soon?
The most crucial factor to consider is maintaining the right temperature.
Ideally, it should be about 55 degrees Fahrenheit and kept as consistent as possible. Bottles should be stored on their sides to prevent the drying out of the cork.
It's important to protect them from light and vibrations. Additionally, ensure the humidity level is between 60 and 70 percent.
2) What temperature should my wine be when i consume them?
For optimal enjoyment, serve sparkling wines well-chilled, between 38 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
White wines should be served slightly warmer, within the range of 45 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Lighter-bodied red wines, such as Pinot Noir, are best enjoyed at a cooler temperature, between 55 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Fuller-bodied reds, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, should be served slightly below room temperature, between 62 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
3) I’m new to wine, what types of wine should I start with?
For beginners, white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and sparkling wines like Prosecco are often ideal choices.
When it comes to red wines, those with lower tannin levels are generally more approachable. We recommend starting with Pinot Noir.
